HammerFall Premium Vodka is made in Sweden in partnership with the power metal band HammerFall, at the Goetene Vin and Spritfabrik. It is distilled from Scandinavian grain and crystal-clear water, run through the still several times to scrub out fusel oils and harshness so the spirit lands soft and even. Scandinavian grain vodka tends toward a clean, mineral character, and the repeated distillation here pushes it toward smoothness, balancing strength against drinkability much like the band's own image suggests.
The nose shows subtle cereal with a gentle sweetness and a mineral freshness, the palate is soft and smooth with a fine balance of mild sweetness and grain, and the finish is long and warm without any sharp alcohol edge. Its clean, slightly sweet body suits a bolder, darker serve, so make a Black Russian: pour the HammerFall over ice with a measure of coffee liqueur and stir, a short, rich drink where the vodka carries the coffee weight and stays smooth, fitting for the heavy-metal billing on the label.
