A 10 year old Worthy Park bottled by Habitation Velier as Pure Single Rum, 100% pot still and unsweetened at a full 57.8%, rich with pineapple, banana, vanilla and ester funk over caramel, spice and leather.

Description
This is a 2005 Worthy Park under the Habitation Velier line, Velier's series dedicated to Pure Single Rum, meaning pot still spirit from a single distillery, bottled with no additives at high proof. It comes from one of Jamaica's most precise houses, which draws its esters from long fermentation and yeast rather than chasing the heaviest funk, and it was labelled Forsyths after the distillery's Scottish-made pot still during the years Velier could not use the Worthy Park name.
Matured in ex-bourbon oak and bottled at 57.8% with nothing added, it balances funk with structure. The nose leads with pineapple, banana, vanilla and ester, the palate carries that tropical fruit and ester character over caramel and spice, and the finish brings banana, leather and pineapple. The wood gives it a firmer, deeper frame than a young Worthy Park while keeping the ester level manageable. A rewarding step up for drinkers who enjoy funky Jamaican pot still and want a woodier, more structured take with real depth.
