From the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, a 7 year old Glen Moray, distilled in 2013, from cask 35.300, bottled at 58.9%, one of 247 bottles. Glen Moray is a Speyside single malt known for vanilla, honey and orchard fruit. It is known for excellent value, with age statements priced more keenly than most.

Drawn off the stills for a clean, fruity Speyside spirit, for the light, fruity make Glen Moray is known for. Maturation came in ex-Bourbon wood, the oak quiet behind the light spirit. Young and extractive, the cask sheds vanillin (vanilla) and toasted sugars (light caramel) over the clean, fruity spirit. Long ageing turns the fresh apple towards dried fruit, honey and a soft spice. The accessible, fruity make is the base for the distillery's many cask finishes. The light, fruity make takes cask flavour well while keeping its apple and pear. Its make is a key malt in the Cutty Sark and Label 5 blends.

At its natural 58.9% it is concentrated. Pear, honey and a soft malt, with a soft vanilla from the oak. Pear, honey and a creamy toffee fill the middle. The finish is rounded, fruity and clean. This is a light Speyside malt from the banks of the Lossie.
