A 17 year old Glen Moray from the German bottler The Whisky Agency, distilled in 2007, bottled at 50.9%. Glen Moray is a Speyside single malt from La Martiniquaise, light and approachable in style. It was built on Gallow Hill at Elgin, the old site of the town's hangings.

Distilled light and fruity in the Glen Moray style, for the light, fruity make Glen Moray is known for. Most Glen Moray begins in American oak ex-Bourbon, the base for its cask finishes. Through oxidative maturity esters concentrate, the apple turning honeyed and a soft dried fruit creeping in. The clean, fruity spirit shows the cask clearly, vanilla and fruit to the fore. It was a pioneer of wine cask finishing, working with Chardonnay casks back in the 1990s. A gentle maturation suits the light make, the orchard fruit growing richer with time. The light spirit suits a wide range of cask finishes, from sherry to rum.

At 50.9%, undiluted, it is deep and fruity. A fresh, fruity sweetness, with a soft vanilla from the oak. The texture is light and clean, the fruit lifted by vanilla. A long, fruity finish carries a green apple and a soft spice. This is a fresh, fruity Speyside single malt.
