A 10 year old Glen Moray, a distillery bottling, at 43%. Glen Moray is a Speyside single malt from Elgin, known for its light, fruity and accessible style. Its make is a key malt in the Cutty Sark and Label 5 blends.

Made on River Lossie water and condensed in shell and tube condensers, for a light, easy spirit with a soft malt. Maturation came in ex-Bourbon wood, the oak quiet behind the light spirit. Integration folds eugenol (clove) and vanillin (vanilla) into the malt, the body softer and the fruit riper. The accessible, fruity make is the base for the distillery's many cask finishes. Refill oak lets the light, fruity Glen Moray character lead the way. Active wood frames the fruit without overwhelming the light Speyside spirit. Years in oak round the spirit, the green apple deepening to honey and dried fruit. Long ageing turns the fresh apple towards dried fruit, honey and a soft spice.

At 43% it is fresh, fruity and clean. Baked apple, vanilla and a creamy toffee, with a soft vanilla from the oak. The mouthfeel is light, the fruit carried on a clean body. The finish is rounded, fruity and clean. This is a fresh, fruity Speyside single malt.
