A Glen Keith of a 22 year old chosen by the bottler Wemyss Malts, distilled in 1996, bottled at 46%, one of 742 bottles. Glen Keith, founded in 1957, was Seagram's innovation plant on Speyside. Its first permanent single malt was released in 2017, the Distillery Edition.

The spirit was run through the tall stills on Balloch Hill water for a light make, for a light, elegant spirit with a soft malt. It was matured in refill ex-Bourbon oak, a soft vanilla beneath the fruit. In the oxidative, evaporative years concentration brings tropical fruit, honey and a waxy depth over the apple. Much of the Glen Keith make went to the blenders, a little kept as single malt. Vanillin and oak lactones from the wood lend vanilla and coconut over the fruit. The clean, fruity make takes cask flavour well while keeping its apple and pear. Built for the blender's art, the spirit ages with grace as a single malt.

At 46% it is light and soft. Green apple, honey and a soft malt, with a soft vanilla from the oak. Pear, citrus and a creamy vanilla fill the middle. The finish runs light, fruity and clean. This is a light Speyside single malt from the town of Keith.
