The bottler Tasting Fellows bottled this Glen Keith, a 21 year old, distilled in 1992, from cask 120610, bottled at 49.5%, one of 180 bottles. Glen Keith is a Speyside single malt known for a light, sweet, fruity character. It was mothballed in 1999 and revived by Pernod Ricard in 2013 after a full refit.

The spirit was run through the tall stills on Balloch Hill water for a light make, giving a clean, sweet Speyside spirit. Ex-Bourbon casks held it, the gentle American oak letting the light fruit lead. Into oxidative maturity, slow air ingress builds fruity ethyl esters (apple and pear) and a honeyed depth. The clean, fruity make takes cask flavour well while keeping its apple and pear. Vanillin and oak lactones from the wood lend vanilla and coconut over the fruit. Long ageing turns the fresh apple towards tropical fruit, honey and a soft spice. A gentle maturation suits the light make, the orchard fruit growing richer with time.

Bottled at a cask strength 49.5%, it is rich. Apple, pear and a soft vanilla, with a soft vanilla from the oak. A baked apple and a gentle spice lift it. The finish is long, fruity and clean. This is a light Speyside single malt from the town of Keith.
