A 28 year old Glen Keith from the bottler Whisky-Fässle (W-F), distilled in 1992, bottled at 44.5%. Glen Keith is a Speyside single malt from Chivas Brothers, light and sweet in style. It was Seagram's experimental plant, and still houses the Chivas Brothers lab.

The spirit was worked through the tall stills for a light, sweet make, building a light, fruity character of green apple and pear. A refill bourbon hogshead held it, keeping the fresh, fruity character to the fore. In the oxidative, evaporative years concentration brings tropical fruit, honey and a waxy depth over the apple. Long ageing turns the fresh apple towards tropical fruit, honey and a soft spice. Maturation in the racked warehouses at Keith is slow and steady. The cool Speyside air gives a slow, even maturation in the Glen Keith warehouses. Its water is drawn from the Balloch Hill spring above Keith. Refill oak lets the light, fruity Glen Keith character lead the way.

At 44.5% it is smooth and fruity. Green apple, pear and a soft malt, with a soft vanilla from the oak. Pear, citrus and a creamy vanilla fill the middle. The finish is long, fruity and clean. This is the light, fresh malt of Keith.
