A Glen Keith of a 17 year old chosen by the Italian bottler Wilson and Morgan, distilled in 1997, from cask 72636-72643, bottled at 46%, one of 605 bottles. Glen Keith is a light, fruity Speyside malt, built in 1957 as Seagram's experimental distillery. It was the first new distillery to open in Speyside since the great whisky crash of 1898.

Distilled light and fruity in the Glen Keith style, for a clean make of orchard fruit and a soft honey. Finished in an Oloroso cask, the wood building over the fruity, light spirit. At oxidative maturity aldehydes lend a nutty edge while ellagitannins add a gentle, drying grip over the fruit. The clean, fruity make takes cask flavour well while keeping its apple and pear. Maturation in the racked warehouses at Keith is slow and steady. Much of the Glen Keith make went to the blenders, a little kept as single malt.

At 46% it is fresh, fruity and clean. A clean, fruity sweetness, with dried fruit, fig and walnut from the cask. A soft fruit and a gentle oak give it depth. The close is light and clean, fruit over a gentle oak. This is Glen Keith's clean, fruity Speyside style.
