Description
Gaenserndorfer Kulinarium Marzipan-Cream-Likoer mit Bittermandel is an Austrian cream liqueur from Horvath's Spezereyen, made in the Gaenserndorf region and bottled at 16%. It is built around an intense marzipan character and a noble hint of bitter almond set into a finely balanced cream base, in the homogenised cream style where cream and spirit are blended into a smooth emulsion. The marzipan and bitter almond pairing is its signature, reminiscent of fine marzipan pralines.
The nose is intense with fresh marzipan, roasted almonds, creamy caramel and a hint of vanilla sugar, the palate creamy, soft and round with a pronounced bitter almond note, fine sweetness, light spice and a nutty, creamy body, finishing long and smooth with a lingering almond note. Behind the bar it adds dairy body, marzipan and almond flavour and sweetness in one pour, which makes it a dessert ingredient and a way to enrich cakes, sundaes and tiramisu. Pour it chilled neat or over ice. As a cream liqueur it is a dairy product once opened, so keep it cool and use it fresh.
