Description
Gaenserndorfer Kulinarium Marillen-Cream Likoer is an Austrian apricot cream liqueur from Horvath's Spezereyen, made in the Gaenserndorf region and bottled at 17%. It joins a mild cream composition to the natural flavour of sun ripened apricots, refined with real apricot extract, in the homogenised cream style where cream and spirit are blended into a smooth, stable emulsion. The apricot and cream pairing is its signature, a fruity Austrian take on the cream liqueur.
The nose is intense ripe apricot with a gentle milkiness, the palate fruity and creamy with a balanced sweetness and a subtle acidity that accentuates the apricot, finishing soft and long as the apricot slowly fades. Behind the bar it adds dairy body, apricot flavour and sweetness with just enough acidity to keep a drink lively, which makes it a soft dessert ingredient over vanilla ice cream, in fruit tarts or in curd creams. Pour it chilled neat or over ice. As a cream liqueur it is a dairy product once opened, so keep it cool and use it fresh.
