Description
Fuji Gotemba Fuji-Sanroku 50 Degrees is a blended whisky from Kirin's Fuji Gotemba distillery in Shizuoka prefecture, bottled at 50% for the Japanese market. The Fuji-Sanroku range draws on the distillery's dual capacity for malt and grain production, combining both in a house blend that takes its name from the slopes of Mt. Fuji.
American oak maturation shapes the profile, giving vanilla and coconut alongside the fresh orchard fruit and gentle nuttiness declared in the tasting notes. A faint solvent edge at 50% is typical of grain-driven blends at elevated ABV, and that briskness integrates quickly on the palate to leave a clean, direct finish. The Fuji Gotemba grain tradition, with its emphasis on precision and lightness, sits at the core of this expression.
