FRC Captain Cane

FRC Captain Cane, bottled by Oldman Spirits, is a spiced, flavoured Caribbean rum drink built for sweetness. From the first sip it leans hard into vanilla, caramel, cream toffee and coconut, with banana candy carrying through to the finish.

This is openly a sweet, aromatised product rather than a traditional rum, soft and syrupy with a light medicinal edge on the back palate. At 40% it is gentle and easy, drinking far more like a liquid dessert than a dry sipper. It is at its best chilled, over ice or built into sweet cocktails and long drinks where its candy character can do the work. Honest expectations matter here, this is a fun, sugary crowd-pleaser, not a contemplative pour.
