Famille Ricci's Unique Blend No. 3 is a multi origin rum aged eighteen years and given a peated whisky cask finish, bottled at a powerful 61.4%. The whisky influence is dominant from the start, the nose hinting at tropical fruit and wood before smoke takes over, and the palate is led by peat, whisky character and bitter orange.
The finish stays smoky and heavy with citrus and a clear whisky tone, the peat masking much of the underlying rum base. This is an avowed crossover bottling, well integrated but firmly in peated territory, and honest framing matters: those who love smoky, peated whisky will find it a fun and characterful experience, while drinkers seeking classic rum notes will likely find the peat overwhelming.
