Description
Dunville's Three Crowns is the standard bearer of the revived Belfast brand, blended and bottled under the care of Echlinville, the floor malting distillery at Kircubbin, Co. Down. The original Three Crowns was a household blend of the late Victorian era, and the modern whiskey keeps the name and the easy going intent, here in a release for Germany.
Matured in ex-bourbon casks, it is a classic Irish marriage of malt and grain, green apple and pear, toffee, vanilla and a soft cereal note, clean and unpeated. Bottling at 43.5% rather than the legal minimum gives it a fuller mouth and a slightly longer finish than most blends in its class.
