Description
The 12 Years Old PX finish extends the recipe of Dunville's flagship ten year old with two more years of maturity, single malt matured under the eye of Echlinville, the Co. Down distillery that resurrected the Belfast brand. It sits in the range's line of aged, sherry finished malts, bottled for Europe at 46%.
After its ex-bourbon years the whiskey finishes in Pedro Ximenez casks, the intensely sweet sherry lending fig, raisin, honey and milk chocolate to the malt's fresh fruit and vanilla. The extra time deepens the sherry's reach without losing the clean orchard brightness underneath, a step further in for drinkers who already know the ten.
