This 10 Years Old single malt carries the Dunville's name, the old Belfast whiskey brand resurrected by Echlinville at Kircubbin on the Ards Peninsula in Co. Down. The malt itself predates the young distillery, sourced and matured under Echlinville's care, a working example of the Irish bonder tradition in which the cask decisions matter as much as the stillhouse.

It spends its first years in ex-bourbon casks before finishing in Palo Cortado sherry wood, an uncommon choice that splits the difference between Amontillado and Oloroso. The result runs to baked apple, honey and raisin over vanilla, with a nutty, faintly saline edge from the sherry cask, bottled for Europe at 46%.
