A cask strength Foursquare from Scotland’s Dram Mor, aged 13 years in ex-bourbon oak, a single cask at 60.7%, unsweetened, made in the balanced Bajan pot and column tradition.
Description
Dram Mor is a Scottish independent bottler, and this single cask draws on Foursquare, the most acclaimed distillery in Barbados, run by Richard Seale on strict no-additives principles. Aged 13 years in ex-bourbon oak and bottled cask strength at 60.7% without added sugar, it shows the maker's preference for natural, full-proof presentation. Foursquare blends rich double-retort pot still with cleaner Coffey column rum, oak aged, for a balanced Bajan profile, typically toffee, brown sugar, ripe banana and vanilla over soft baking spice and light oak. At 60.7% that character arrives with concentration and warmth, fuller than the distillery's gentler bottlings. A dry, full-proof single distillery Barbados rum that opens up with a few drops of water.
