Don Fulano Blanco Fuerte Tequila

Don Fulano Fuerte is a Blue Weber blanco from La Tequileña in Atotonilco el Alto, made by agave grower Enrique Fonseca and blender Sergio Mendoza across the fourth and fifth generations of the family. The agave grows in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco, and the house is one of the few that states its tequila is made without additives. This is the high proof Fuerte expression, bottled unaged at 50%.

The extra strength carries aroma rather than heat, so the nose stays soft despite the proof, with floral jasmine and orange blossom alongside coconut and tropical hints. The palate ties straight back to the agave fields and the terroir, built on patient organic fermentation and masterful distillation in copper alembics, where copper scrubs sulphur for a cleaner, rounder spirit. The finish is intense and long. It is a structured, aromatic highland blanco that wears its 50% with ease.
