A Grenadian rum from Six Saints, made on a column still and finished in virgin oak, bottled at 41.7% so the fresh, toasty new wood spice sits forward over a soft island base.
Description
Six Saints is a Grenada rum produced by the island's own distillers, and this release takes the standard column still spirit and gives it a finishing period in virgin oak. Fresh, unused oak gives up more vanilla, toast and sweet baking spice than a refill cask, so this finish leans into a warmer, more dessert like wood character. Bottled at 41.7%, it stays soft and approachable while the new oak adds structure and colour. Expect vanilla, toasted oak and a gentle island sweetness, a smooth and easygoing Grenadian pour where the virgin cask does the talking.
