Description
An Enmore REV bottled by Distilia for their Floral Rum Series, distilled in 1994 off a single wooden pot still and aged twenty-eight years. The REV marque is among the most prized old Enmore profiles, and these later aged examples are known to keep gaining depth.
Matured in ex-bourbon oak and bottled unsweetened at 51.8%, it rewards patience with prunes, old leather, roasted coffee, dark chocolate and polished oak. The wood gives structure but stays well integrated, and the strength, though full, is folded smoothly into the whole. Ripe plum leads the fruit while herbal and mineral notes add lift. This is a dark, contemplative Demerara of real composure, the kind of long aged REV that earns its place as a benchmark for the style, made for long, focused sessions.
