Maturated from molasses in ex-bourbon wood at 53.1%, it noses on dried fruit, oak, a medicinal edge and a floral lift, then delivers wood, dried fruit, allspice and tannin, the finish staying woody, salty and herbal with more allspice, pencil shavings and salted liquorice over a very long close. Unsweetened and full proof, it leans firmly into the medicinal, wood-driven extreme of long-aged Guyana rather than fruit or sweetness, the continental ageing keeping it focused.
