From the bottler Wilson & Morgan, a 20 year old Cragganmore, distilled in 1993, from cask 1903 + 04, bottled at 50%, one of 615 bottles. Cragganmore is a fragrant, complex Speyside single malt from Ballindalloch on the Spey. Worm tub condensers give the spirit a meaty weight, balanced by the reflux of the flat topped stills.

The spirit was worked through flat topped stills and worm tubs for a meaty, fragrant spirit, for a meaty, fragrant make of real depth. Ex-Sherry wood added a dried fruit richness to the fragrant malt. Into oxidative maturity, slow air ingress builds fruity ethyl esters (apple and dried fruit) over the meaty, malty depth. Years in oak round the spirit, the fruit deepening to dried fruit and a savoury spice. The cool Speyside air gives a slow, even maturation, the flat topped stills' complexity deepening. The clean spirit shows the cask clearly, vanilla and fruit over a savoury malt.

At its natural 50% it is concentrated. A fragrant, savoury sweetness, with raisin, date and treacle from the cask. The mouthfeel is full, the fruit carried on a meaty, malty body. It finishes complex, malty and warm. This is a fragrant, dried fruit rich Speyside single malt.
