Cîroc Pineapple Flavoured Vodka

Cîroc is distilled in France from grapes, an unusual base for vodka that sets it apart from the usual grain or potato. Grape ferments into a spirit with a soft texture and a natural fruity character, which makes it a fitting platform for flavour. For this expression that grape spirit is paired with pineapple, the tropical fruit adding intense, juicy sweetness and a touch of citrus. Bottled at 37.5%, it is pitched squarely at cocktails and long drinks where fresh fruit is the point.

The nose is fresh and tropical with ripe pineapple, light sweetness and fruity citrus. The palate is full and smooth with juicy pineapple, a subtle sugar note and a gentle vanilla edge, and the finish is soft, fruity and refreshing. The pineapple all but asks for a tiki serve, so build a Painkiller-style long drink: shake it with pineapple juice, a little cream of coconut and fresh orange, pour over crushed ice and dust with grated nutmeg to round off the tropical fruit.
