The Chita Aichi Edition is a market-specific single grain release from Suntory's Chita distillery in Aichi Prefecture, bottled in 2014 after 12 years of maturation from a 2002 distillation. It was designated for Italy, making it a regionally allocated expression of the distillery's column-still grain whisky.
Matured in Ex-Bourbon casks, the 12 Years Old expression develops beyond the light sweetness of the core Chita, picking up cooked and dried fruit, a subtle nuttiness and a husky grain warmth. At 43%, it sits in the traditional Suntory bottling strength, offering a more structured take on Chita's characteristically clean and soft grain profile.
