Description
A second distillery-bottled 2024 Paris Edition for the French market, this Chichibu single malt is drawn from Ex-Bourbon and red wine cask maturation and presented at cask strength 50.5%. Chichibu is the flagship craft distillery of Venture Whisky in Saitama, and its Paris Edition releases, now running through multiple years and variants, have grown into one of the most recognisable annual expressions of the Ichiro's Malt single malt range outside Japan.
The cask combination follows the pattern established by other 2024 Paris Edition expressions: bourbon barrels supply the vanilla and fresh fruit foundation, while the red wine casks add a layer of soft berry, vinous depth and a slightly firmer tannin structure. Bottled without dilution, the whisky carries the full weight of both wood influences, and in the house style of Chichibu the fruit character is expected to remain lively and well-defined even at this proof.
