Description
Chichibu Malt Dream Cask 11 Years Old 2008 is a single malt distilled in 2008 at Venture Whisky's Chichibu distillery in Saitama and bottled in 2019 at 61.4% cask strength, drawn from a single Ex-Bourbon cask for the Japanese market. Like the other Malt Dream Cask releases from this vintage, it represents a single-barrel selection made at the 11-year mark, offering a distinct barrel-by-barrel comparison within the same vintage and maturation type.
Eleven years in a single Ex-Bourbon cask builds a concentrated platform of vanilla, caramel and dried fruit, with the house's fruit-forward new make character gradually giving way to more structured wood integration. The 61.4% cask strength carries the full intensity of that barrel's development across over a decade of Saitama ageing, and the Japan only release context placed this expression firmly within the domestic collectors and specialists who follow Chichibu's single-cask programme most closely.
