Description
This NAS single-cask release was distilled at Chichibu in Saitama in 2012 and bottled under the Ichiro's Malt label as a Takashimaya release for the Belgian market. Chichibu, Venture Whisky's distillery founded by Ichiro Akuto in 2008, has placed specific casks with department stores, specialist retailers and event organisers in markets across Asia and Europe.
Matured in Ex-Bourbon oak, the spirit shows the fresh orchard fruit, vanilla and warm cereal character that is characteristic of Chichibu at this age. At 62.1% straight from a single cask, the intensity is considerable, and the Takashimaya provenance marks it as a curated, market-specific selection. The Ichiro's Malt labelling connects it to the broader range bearing the founder's name.
