Cantares de Portugal Licor de Pastel de Nata is a cream liqueur from Portugal inspired by the pastel de nata, the famous custard tart dusted with cinnamon. It sits at 15%, handmade from natural ingredients to a recipe that reflects the flavour of the pastry. As a cream liqueur it is a dairy emulsion, sweet and rounded rather than a spirit, made to read like the dessert it is named for.

The nose is sweet with warm cream, vanilla, cinnamon and a slight caramel, and the palate is smooth, round and creamy, intense cream and fine cinnamon over vanilla custard and a caramelised sugar crust note, closing lingering, smooth and sweet spiced. Behind the bar it is a custard dessert and body ingredient: it adds creamy vanilla and cinnamon to after dinner cocktails, enriches creamy serves, and pairs with crème brûlée, rice pudding and, of course, a pastel de nata. It pours best lightly chilled or over ice. As a dairy product, keep it cool once opened and finish it within a few months.
