Cantares de Portugal Licor de Chocolate com Ginja is a cream liqueur from Portugal that pairs chocolate with the country's ginja cherry, the sour cherry behind the beloved ginjinha. It sits at 15%, handcrafted from natural ingredients, with the bitterness of chocolate set against the sweet sour fruit. As a cream liqueur it is a dairy emulsion, rich and rounded rather than a spirit.

The nose is intense with dark chocolate, fresh ginja cherry, vanilla and fine spice, and the palate is full bodied and creamy, bitter chocolate meeting sweet sour ginja with subtle vanilla, closing long, soft and round with a fruity, chocolaty aftertaste. Behind the bar it is a dessert and body ingredient with a fruit edge: it brings chocolate cherry richness to creamy cocktails, layers into after dinner serves, and pairs with chocolate cake, chocolate mousse or a cherry dessert. It pours best lightly chilled or over ice. As a dairy product, keep it cool once opened and finish it within a few months.
