This is a Cameronbridge single grain, chosen and bottled by Murray McDavid, a 32 year old distilled in 1992, from cask 2210052 + 53 + 115048A and bottled at 47.5%. Just 720 bottles were filled. Cameronbridge is a Lowland grain distillery in Fife, founded in 1824 by John Haig and now the largest distillery in Scotland. It is one of the largest distilleries in Europe, making well over a hundred million litres a year.

The spirit was run off the distillery's three column stills from a wheat mash, to build a soft, sweet grain character. A wine cask held it, layering fruit over the oily grain. Beyond thirty years the grain grows deep and oily, coconut, butterscotch and crème brûlée over polished oak. Time in oak deepens the toffee and crème brûlée notes of aged grain. Its single grain has long been sold as Cameron Brig, and since 2014 as Haig Club. Water comes from Loch Leven, the mash from wheat, the spirit off three column stills.

At a full 47.5% it is intense yet sweet. The Rum cask adds brown sugar and a tropical lift to the grain. A butterscotch and a creamy oak lift it. Crème brûlée and oak draw out the close. This is an aged single grain from Diageo's largest distillery.
