Caffo Limoncino dell'Isola Liquore is a lemon liqueur from the Distilleria F.lli Caffo in Italy, made from sun ripened lemons from the Mediterranean islands using traditional methods. It sits at 30%, brighter and stronger than many supermarket limoncellos, with the lemon peel carrying the aroma and a hint of Mediterranean herbs adding a savoury lift. In the traditional limoncello style, the peel is macerated to release its oils rather than juiced.

The nose is fresh lemon with a touch of herb and a subtle sweetness, and the palate is refreshing and lively, a clear lemon note set against a mild sweetness and a delicate herbal freshness, closing long and citrusy. Behind the bar it is a citrus lift and sweetener: it carries a Limoncello Spritz and a lemon tonic, brightens a Prosecco serve, and adds zest to lemon led cocktails. It also shines over vanilla ice cream and in lemon sorbet or panna cotta. Serve it well chilled, neat or over ice, as a digestif.
