Bushmills 15 Year Old from the World Wood Series is a travel retail exclusive built to show what Bushmills tastes like when you give it proper time and let American oak do the heavy lifting. It launched into Global Travel Retail in September 2023, with early availability centred on Asia Pacific duty free, and Dublin Airport noted as the key European location stocking the range at launch.

The cask recipe is the whole point here. This 15 year old is matured in a mix of 1st fill and 2nd fill ex bourbon American oak casks, which keeps the whisky firmly in the Bushmills lane while adding structure and richness in a very controlled way. First fill bourbon wood brings the bigger flavour hit, more vanilla, sweetness and toasted oak, while second fill casks contribute balance and let the fruit led spirit keep breathing. The result is a whisky that feels more rounded and more confident than the younger expressions, without relying on wine or sherry finishes to do the work.

In the glass, expect Bushmills’ smoothness and fresh fruit to sit alongside toasted oak, warm caramel and vanilla, with a firmer, longer finish than you’d get from the core range. Bottled at 46%, it carries better texture and definition, making it a strong pick if you want a more serious Bushmills that still stays clean, bright and easy to drink.
