Description
Bottega is a family distillery in the Veneto, the grappa house founded at Bibano in 1977 on a vine growing line reaching back to 1635. This Limoncino crema is a creamy take on limoncello: Sicilian lemon peel is soaked in alcohol and, through a slow extraction, develops a natural infusion with an intense lemon flavour, which is then blended into cream and bottled at a gentle 15%.
The nose is intense and fresh with ripe lemon over milk and cream, the palate soft with lemon and sweet milk cream. As a lemon cream liqueur it brings citrus flavour, dairy body and sweetness to a glass, sitting between a sharp limoncello and a dessert cream. Serve it well chilled at around 3 degrees, pour it over ice or ice cream, or shake it into a creamy lemon dessert serve. Being a dairy emulsion it is best kept cold once opened and used within a few months.
