Description
Bottega is a family distillery in the Veneto, working grappa since Aldo Bottega introduced the first single varietal grappa and founded the distillery in 1977, now set in a restored 17th century farmhouse among its own vineyards. This Crema di Cafe draws on its grappa alongside a selected blend of coffee beans, gently crushed rather than ground, and dairy cream, blended into a smooth emulsion at 15%.
The nose is intense coffee and milk, the palate soft and silky with the flavour of latte macchiato, the finish long on the palate. Behind the bar it adds milky coffee flavour, dairy body and sweetness, an easy coffee note for creamy and dessert drinks. It stirs into an Espresso Martini riff or a White Russian, lengthens with espresso, and enriches ice cream. As a dairy liqueur, serve it chilled and keep it cool, using it within a few months of opening.
