Bottega Crema di Meloncino Cream Liqueur

Bottega is a family distillery in the Veneto, working grappa since Aldo Bottega introduced the first single varietal grappa and founded the distillery in 1977, now set in a restored 17th century farmhouse among its own vineyards. This Crema di Meloncino sets the house Italian confectionery tradition behind a cream liqueur, blending the sweet flavour of ripe melon with dairy cream into a smooth emulsion at 15%.

The nose is ripe melon and cream, the palate soft with melon and milk, the finish long on the palate. Behind the bar it adds an unusual sweet melon and dairy character, body and a pale colour, a novel modifier for creamy dessert drinks. It stirs into fruity cream cocktails and after dinner serves, and pairs with ice cream. As a dairy liqueur, serve it chilled and keep it cool, using it within a few months of opening.
