Description
Böser Kater Pfirsich Likör is a peach liqueur from the Edelobstbrennerei Schleihauf in Germany, made from fully ripe peaches that are crushed and macerated in alcohol to keep their natural flavour. It sits at 20%, fruity and sweet with the stone fruit kept front and centre. In the traditional macerated style of a fruit liqueur, the peach leads, deepened by a note of apricot.
The nose is intense peach with ripe apricot and a hint of citrus, and the palate is full bodied and velvety, sweet peach lifted by a subtle freshness and a slight floral nuance, closing soft with a touch of honey. Behind the bar it is a stone fruit sweetener with real body: it carries a Bellini and a peach spritz, adds fruit and weight to a sour or a fruity long drink, and pairs naturally with sparkling wine. It also pours neat or over ice. Top with Prosecco for the classic serve, and keep it cold.
