Bols Dry Orange comes from Lucas Bols, one of the oldest spirits houses in the world, with roots in Amsterdam to 1575, and counts among the brand's bar classics. The peel of carefully selected oranges is macerated and distilled to a well-balanced liqueur, bottled at 24% in 70cl. In the traditional orange liqueur style it leans dry, the balance of sweet and bitter oranges set against a restrained sugar.

The nose is intense orange peel, fresh citrus notes and a subtle spice, the palate aromatic and slightly tart with the typical balance of sweet and bitter oranges, the finish dry, fresh and pleasantly fruity. Its job in a glass is aromatic orange depth without heavy sweetness, which makes it an indispensable ingredient in a Mai Tai, a Margarita and a Cosmopolitan, sharpening sour citrus while adding perfumed orange. It also pours neat over ice for a fruity, tart serve. A dependable dry orange note for the back bar from a long-standing house.
