Berentzen Plum Likör

Berentzen Plum is a fruit liqueur from the Berentzen Group at Haselunne, one of Germany's oldest and best known spirits producers, distilling since 1758. It is made from selected fully ripe plums refined to a well rounded flavour, bottled at a firmer 20%. In the traditional fruit liqueur style the fruit leads, here with a baking spice edge that sets it apart from lighter berry liqueurs.

The nose is an intense aroma of ripe plums with vanilla, caramel and subtle spice, the palate full bodied and harmonious with juicy plum, a pleasant sweetness and a spicy nuance of cinnamon and clove, closing fruity and slightly caramelised with fine wood tones. Behind the bar it brings dark stone fruit, warm spice and colour, useful in stirred autumn and winter drinks where a fruit and spice note is wanted. It unfolds best neat or over ice, and lengthens into a spiced long drink. Serve it chilled.
