Berentzen Fruchtige Maracuja is a passion fruit liqueur from the Berentzen house in Lower Saxony, a distilling name in Germany since 1758. It is built on a neutral spirit refined with the flavour of sun ripened passion fruit, bottled at 18%. In the traditional fruit liqueur style the fruit leads, here the tropical sweetness and natural acidity of the passion fruit held in balance.

The nose is fruity and fresh with ripe passion fruit and subtle citrus, the palate full bodied and tropical with that tart sweetness rounded by a fine acidity. Behind the bar passion fruit is a workhorse modifier, lending exotic flavour, sweetness and the acidity that brightens a sour, which is why it suits fruity cocktails and long drinks. It carries a Tropical Sunrise built with orange juice and grenadine, lengthens easily into a highball, and pours neat over ice. Serve it chilled to keep the fruit fresh.
