Belvedere Heritage 176 looks back to the year rye distillation was first recorded in Poland. It is a rye-based spirit drink with a deliberately rustic, grain-forward character, a step away from the smoother classic Belvedere. Bottled at 40% with no added flavourings, it is built to show off the rye.

Description
Belvedere Heritage 176 is a special bottling from Polmos Żyrardów that honours the brand's Polish roots, the 176 referencing the year rye distillation was first documented in the country. Where standard Belvedere aims for polish, this one goes the other way and leans into the grain. Rye is the base, and rye matters: it carries a peppery, earthy spice into the spirit that a softer wheat would smooth away. There is no artificial flavouring here, just a more rustic, structured spirit bottled at 40%, with the grain character kept deliberately intact.
The nose is strong with rye, slightly earthy and spicy. The palate is full-bodied and grain-accented with a rustic spice and a dry structure, and the finish is long, spicy and clearly rye-led. A spirit built to show its grain deserves to be tasted plainly, so serve it neat and well chilled from the freezer in a small glass alongside a slice of dark rye bread and smoked fish: the bread and fish echo the earthy spice and let the structure show.
