Description
AI Galli Prosecco Rosé is a Prosecco DOC from the Veneto, made as a millesimato from the single 2024 vintage. Under the DOC rules a rosé Prosecco blends Glera with red Pinot Nero, which supplies both the pink colour and a red-fruited edge. The wine is produced by the tank method, taking its second fermentation in pressurised stainless steel, so the fruit stays fresh and primary rather than developing bready autolysis. It is finished dry at Brut and bottled young.
The colour is a pale salmon pink with a fine, persistent bead. The nose is bright with strawberry, raspberry and red currant over white flowers, and the palate is dry and lively, carrying red fruit and a touch of pomegranate to a clean finish. Serve well chilled at around 6 to 8 degrees in a flute or white wine glass, as an aperitif or with light salads, grilled poultry and fresh goat cheese.
