Description
AI Galli Prosecco Extra Dry is a Prosecco DOC from the Veneto, bottled as a millesimato from the 2024 vintage. It is made entirely from Glera, the region's signature white grape, by the tank method, with the second fermentation in pressurised stainless steel to hold onto the grape's fresh, floral aromatics. The dosage is set at Extra Dry, which on the Prosecco scale sits a touch sweeter than Brut and rounds out the fruit without turning the wine sweet. It is bottled young for immediate drinking.
The colour is pale straw with a fine, foamy bead. The nose shows green apple, pear and white peach with white flowers and honeysuckle, and the palate is soft and fresh, with ripe orchard fruit and a gently off-dry, clean finish. Serve well chilled at around 6 to 8 degrees in a flute or white wine glass, as an aperitif or with light salads, white fish and shellfish.
