Description
AI Galli Prosecco Extra Dry is a Prosecco DOC from the Veneto in north-east Italy, made entirely from Glera. The wine is produced by the tank method, with its second fermentation in pressurised stainless steel, an approach that preserves the fresh, floral and orchard-fruit character of the grape rather than building the toasted hints of bottle ageing. The dosage is set at Extra Dry, slightly softer than Brut on the Prosecco scale, giving a rounder impression of fruit. It is a young, everyday sparkling style.
The colour is pale straw with a fine, lively bead. Green apple, pear and white peach lead the nose, with white flowers and honeysuckle behind, and the palate is soft, fresh and gently off-dry with a clean finish. Serve well chilled at around 6 to 8 degrees in a flute or white wine glass, as an aperitif or with salads, white fish and shellfish.
