Absolut Tabasco Flavored Vodka

Absolut Tabasco is a flavoured vodka born from a partnership between The Absolut Company in Sweden and the makers of Tabasco hot sauce. It takes the clean, clear Absolut base, made without artificial flavourings, and joins it to the spice of ripe chilli peppers. The result keeps the typical vodka clarity but layers a genuine chilli heat over it, bottled at 38%. The idea is to give bartenders a spirit that builds spice into a drink from the base up rather than relying on a dash of sauce added at the end.

The nose is chilli and paprika with a subtle citrus lift and fine spice. The palate is strong and clear with Tabasco chilli, light fruit, pepper and a warming heat, and the finish is spicy and long. Built for savoury drinks, it makes an outstanding Bloody Mary: build over ice with tomato juice, fresh lemon, Worcestershire and a pinch of celery salt, then skip the extra hot sauce because the chilli is already in the spirit, and garnish with a celery stalk.
