Absolut Raspberri Flavored Vodka

Absolut Raspberri is produced in Åhus, Sweden, from southern Swedish winter wheat and soft spring water drawn deep beneath the region, the same base behind the standard bottling. That clean wheat vodka is then infused with natural raspberry, with no added sugar, so the fruit arrives as a fresh, vivid note rather than a confected one. Wheat lends the soft, mild mouthfeel that lets the raspberry sit cleanly on top, and at 38% by volume it keeps enough backbone for mixing without overwhelming the fruit.

The nose is dominated by strong raspberry over a light cereal note. The palate is intensely fruity with a pure, naturally sweet raspberry character resting on the mild wheat base, finishing clean and refreshing with a long fruity tail. To dress it up, make a French Martini: shake 50ml with 15ml raspberry liqueur and 40ml pineapple juice until frothy, served up, the pineapple foam softening the fruit and the raspberry vodka carrying the whole drink.
