An official release of Glen Moray, a 15 year old, at 40%. Glen Moray is a light, sweet Speyside malt, founded in 1897 on the banks of the River Lossie. It was founded in 1897 in the converted Elgin West Brewery, on the banks of the River Lossie.

It was made on River Lossie water and condensed in shell and tube condensers, for the light, fruity make Glen Moray is known for. An Oloroso cask shaped the finish, over the fruity Glen Moray spirit. Through oxidative maturity esters concentrate, the apple turning honeyed and a soft dried fruit creeping in. A pioneer of wine cask finishing, Glen Moray has long layered fruit over its light malt. Its light, fresh spirit suits a wide range of cask finishes, from sherry to rum. It was a pioneer of wine cask finishing, working with Chardonnay casks back in the 1990s. It is known for excellent value, with age statements priced more keenly than most.

At 40% it is light and soft. Baked apple, vanilla and a creamy toffee, with dried fruit, fig and walnut from the cask. It is fresh and fruity, the light spirit shining through. The finish is long, fruity and clean. This is a light Speyside malt from the banks of the Lossie.
