Description

This 7 Years Old is a Kingsbarns bottling for the Loch Leven Vibrant Stills range, matured in ex-Bourbon and bottled at full strength. An outturn of 1,680 bottles for Germany. Kingsbarns is a Lowland distillery in the East Neuk of Fife, founded by the Wemyss family in 2014.

Built in a restored 18th century farm steading near St Andrews, the distillery runs long-necked stills for a light, fruity, unpeated spirit. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks over seven years, the wood frames the malt.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.5%. Vanillin from the ex-Bourbon reads as vanilla, oak lactones as coconut, with maltol for toffee over the distillery's bright fruit. A young Fife Lowland malt at full strength.
