Description

Perspective No. 01 is a recent Isle of Jura 16 year old, matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks and bottled at a fuller 46.5%. The Jura distillery, the island's only one, rose again in 1963 after the original had fallen to ruin.

The distillery's clean make takes sherry well over sixteen years. Matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks, the two woods build vanilla and dried fruit, the higher bottling strength keeping it vivid.

Bottled at 46.5%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and coconut, the Oloroso fig and raisin from its melanoidins with a nutty, walnut dryness. The recorded notes run to fresh fruit, fresh oak, chocolate, dried fruit, malt sweetness and a nutty depth. A fuller, modern island sixteen.
