Isle of Jura 16 Years Old

Diurachs' Own is Isle of Jura's 16 year old named for the Diurachs, the people of Jura themselves. Matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks, it is a rounded, gently sherried take on the island malt. Jura is the single distillery on its remote Hebridean island, rebuilt in 1963 to revive the community.

The distillery's light, clean spirit takes sherry well over a longer maturation. Matured in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso casks, the bourbon wood gives the base and the sherry a dried-fruit layer.

Bottled at 40%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla and coconut, while the Oloroso adds dried fruit, melanoidins reading as fig and raisin. Honeyed and gently sherried, with the maritime note of an island malt. A sixteen named for the islanders.
